Through Generations of Trade

Global Strategic Partners Distribution Inc. (GSPDI) is one of the most recognized and respected pioneers of the import/distribution trading in the Philippine business community. Although present official records state that the family corporation was established in 2003, company history books trace its origins back to 1945 right after the cessation of World War II in the Asia-Pacific region. Actual business operations started with Japan, with the family owned business importing dried scallops, abalone, and mushrooms while exporting from the Philippines dried shark fins and sea cucumbers. Later, food products from China, such as bean thread vermicelli, canned meats, canned fruits and canned vegetables were added to its range of products.

From the late 70s to the present, the predecessor of GSPDI broadened its trading partners embracing parties from USA, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Denmark, Netherlands, South Africa, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Greece and Turkey.

GSPDI has a very strong nationwide distribution network with the main office and warehouses located in Metro Manila, the capital city. It serves customers in other secondary urban key cities in the archipelago such as Baguio, Cebu, Iloilo, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, to name a few.

GSPDI clientele originally started with food service by marketing to Chinese and other Oriental restaurants. It was later evolved to servicing retailers which include the country’s top 100 supermarkets, department stores, small to medium sized grocery outlets, convenience stores, drug stores, wholesalers and price clubs, and duty free stores in Clark and Subic special economic free trade zones.

In 1990, it once again resumed its relationship with the food service industry by providing food ingredients to some major hotels, restaurant chains, bakeries and pastry shops. It still continues to widen this clientele category by endlessly sourcing for products that are highly in demand and competitively priced.

We take pride in our strengths as GSPDI has combined years of experience in the field of importation particularly of products from US origins, as well as sales and marketing expertise in both the retail and foodservice industry. The company maintains excellent retail distribution network in key accounts and with added strength in the on-premise/food service industry. With the recent upgrading of its logistics facilities and infrastructures, GSPDI has improved "route to market system and operation" especially for highly perishable food and non-food items, and has abundant warehouse spaces to address the needs of newly acquired principals.

But most important of all, GSPDI is an import/distribution company that is known for its stable financial position, carries a promising brand portfolio, enjoys excellent relationship with current principals, has invested in good inventory management and sales order flow systems, and is managed by young, aggressive and cohesive sales and management team.
